[SOLVED] Apache better security option not present

New to wcms.

On the Features page (and elsewhere) there's a reference to:

https://github.com/robiso/wondercms/wik ... -features)

On that page, it says to enable this mode:

go to Settings -> Security and the click "ON" button.

I find no such button in Security.

I DO find the option to FORCE HTTPS, which includes a link to the same wiki page.

However, turning on the force HTTPS option does not make the changes stated in the wiki. (The .htaccess is writable by the wcms script.)

What am I missing?

Hello smisco.

This doc is actually outdated, thank you very much for reporting it.
The only thing that users see in their settings is now "Force HTTPS", which sets a flag in the database.js file for forcing all URLs to be https while checking for SSL.

The docs linked here have now been updated: https://github.com/WonderCMS/wondercms/ ... -features)
The wording has also been fixed here: https://www.wondercms.com/features

Users can still manually overwrite the .htaccess file with the instructions provided in the documentation.

We are also releasing a new version of WonderCMS, as is our tradition a day or two after new years eve.

For reporting this, you definitely deserve a honorable mention in our list of contributors: https://www.wondercms.com/contributors

Do you mind sharing your first/last name and website so we can link to it?
