I would like to create a website with articles in some categories.
I choose ESSENSE theme.
I try to created 1 page ARTICLES and 4-5 subpages with CATEGORIES of articles. But because the menu is drop down, is not displayed good in website.
I add a blog addon instead of pages, but the problem is that there are not tags or categories to add in articles.
Do you have some advise how can create website with articles and some categories?
[SOLVED] Questions about menu and taxonomy
Re: questions about menu and taxonomy
Hey erevnitis,
Simple blog doesn't support tags and categories.
What you could try (using WonderCMS settings and editor) is to create articles as pages, but don't make them visible in the menu, they will be published, but not reachable through menu.
Then add one page Categories (or any title that suits you) and make it visible in the menu.
On that page manually include links to the articles (pages).
For example:
Categories
Science
Link to article page 1
Link to article page 2
Life
Link to article page 3
Link to article page 4
Holidays
Link to article page 5
Link to article page 6
You'll end with something like the table of content.
Same would be for Simple blog, but instead of page url copy post url and add as an article link under category (science, life).
If you plan to have more then 20-30 articles this process might get tedious.
