Hi guys,

I downloaded and installed Wonder CMS, but came accross a small problem.

In the Danish langauage we have custom letters Æ Ø Å which can also be seen in various other nordic languages.

However this is not very good for SEO as browsers might have issues with these letters.

So when i add pages which contain these, the URL also have these danish letters.

Is there any way of only having this in the Page Title and not the URL?

HI Carsten.

After research in the past, we have found that having special characters in the URL does not harm the Search Engine Optimization, nor does it hurt any browsers. Similarly, largest websites like Alibaba use the same technology.

It would take some effort and a custom version of WonderCMS for this to be reverted, we used to strip and convert these letters in the past, which didn't turn out to work so well as there were way too many combinations to cover.

Okay, thanks for the answer.

However I still have some concerns about it. From my knowledge to all other CMS where they do some sort of re-write of the URL.
But I will run some tests and see if it turns out fine.

No problem Carsten, we have ran numerous test in the past and no one has reported any issues so far.
