Re: Theme editing How-To

I know this is late in the day, but it may help others who come later... Now if I can just understand why it randomly changes text formatting when stuff is pasted in (plain text) and why I can't CTRL-A to select all and then apply a formatting change to a full page of text..... I'm guessing you're u...

Re: New GregCustom Theme

Update!
Coding sorted!
But I'm still to produce further header background images and document their use more fully.

Re: New GregCustom Theme

I've now updated the theme to 0.0.2 ! I've tweaked the theme.php file and added more hooks in the CSS that allow you to change the colour scheme. This is done through a list of variables at the top of the file that make it very easy to change. I've also added a "resources" folder to the th...

Re: Logo placement

Ah! Another case where my Wish List request
viewtopic.php?t=4450
for a <header> block in the standard index.php file would have come in handy.

Re: Backend for website

It's two years since AvaWilson posted and I suspect she is long gone because she didn't get an answer that made sense to her. I suspect she picked up the term "Back End" from other sites and used it because she felt it summarised well what she needed. My best guess is she wanted to install...

New GregCustom Theme

I've just uploaded a new theme. Check it out at: https://github.com/NorfolkGreg/GregCustom/blob/main/README.md It's based on the one I'm using for my site, currently at: htt ps://gregchapman.me.uk/wondercms/home I may yet move it to https://gregchapman.uk/index.php where the original hand-coded vers...

Re: How can I add a link in the menu?

There's no way to do that with Wcms. As you have discovered, adding a menu item adds a page! I can only think of a couple of approaches that might work: Add an <iframe> to that new page that would contain the external site Edit the template.php file in your theme to add the item immediately before o...

Re: I don't find </body> </html>

I don't find </body> </html> Is it correct? A year or two back I installed and ran a site using an earlier version of Wcms. All was fine. A week ago I installed a new site and found I had a blank page. Looking at the source delivered, it was not just the closing </body> </html> that was missing but...

Wish List

Hi Robert, I'm back working on my own Wcms site. Check out: https://gregchapman.uk and am hoping to offer my theme to the community once I am happier with it. My PHP and JavaScript knowledge is limited to being able to insert snippets of other people's code into my files so I'm going to gently lean ...

Re: Just A Nerd's Site

I got excited when I saw your screen shots. It showed that you were using sub-pages, but they seem to have been abandoned. Perhaps, like me, you are struggling to get a menu system that works well on a touch screen?
