Re: Suggestions to localize a wcms website
Anyway... I need to localize my website into several languages. Is there a native option to do that that I didn't see? Or would I need to replicate the installation in a subfolder and just translate everything there? There's certainly no plug-in or other automated tool that will add a dropdown list...

Re: Automatic Updates
Questions: 1.) When you login to WonderCMS, it automatically checks for updates. Does it give you the opportunity NOT to update before it proceeds to update? 2.) Can I modify things so that I determine when to check for updates, versus it being done automatically? Wcms simply advises you that an up...

After I wrote that post, I did write my thoughts about the various Wcms editors at

Standardised Theme Format Proposal
In the belief that a major part of the audience for WonderCMS are new to web design and need as gentle introduction as possible to customising their site I have a proposal that I think would help new users ,and those that are better skilled and preparing a site for a client to maintain. My GregCusto...

Re: Sub-Page Bug
Earlier you said... the optimal number of pages is 3-7 pieces. I'm not sure that I agree with that, but again, that's something that I may have lost in translation. I'm expecting the site I'm developing to grow to fifty pages and might be double that by the time I've covered all the topics I have in...

Re: Private messages
Agree about image size. It was the only one I had conveniently available at the time. I was in a theatre five minutes before the show started.
As you'll have seen smaller images will be centred.
My stylesheets normally limit page width to less than 1000px.

Re: External Editors
Just installed Summernote on my test site running the GregCustom theme on my phone. I placed the cursor at the start of the heading at the top of the page and loaded an image using the toolbar Icon and the file broswsing dialogue. The resulting code is: <h2><img src="https://gregchapman.uk/test...

Re: Private messages
The downside of this editor is that you cannot set the automatic expansion of images and videos to the width of the screen, it makes it either narrower or wider (in a simple Summernote you can simply set the width to 100% Obviously I haven't used Summernote enough to discover all it's flaws. In my ...

Re: External Editors
I think you refer to Monaco. Some of my thoughts about it can be found at: https://gregchapman.uk/wondercms/monaco It was looking at it and Summernote that made me wonder about who the target audience is for WonderCMS and what the implications are for the type of editor that should be available as a...

Re: External Editors
Ah! Yes, I hadn't played with Summernote for long enough, or with deep enough pages to realise the issue with the fixed position of the toolbar. You're right that would be a pain. I can see that having a WYSIWYG editor available is probably necessary to keep a new user on board while they try out th...
